Antique: The Antique Provincial Board reiterated its call for the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) to replace its eight members who were suspended by the Office of the Ombudsman. Vice Governor Edgar Denosta said in an interview on Monday that they could not hold a regular session due to lack of quorum. "Only six of us, including myself, were present," Denosta said. The board members in attendance were Dante Beriong, Pio Jessielito Sumande Sr., Noel Alamis, Emmanuel Palacios, and Karmila Rose Dimamay. According to Philippines News Agency, Egidio Elio, Rony Molina, Victor Condez, Alfie Jay Niquia, Mayella Mae Ladislao, Plaridel Sanchez IV, Kenneth Dave Gasalao, and Julius Cezar Tajanlangit were suspended by the Ombudsman on March 7 over complaints of grave misconduct and abuse of authority. The suspension stemmed from the board's decision to override Governor Rhodora Cadiao's veto and allot zero funding for three solar projects worth PHP765 million. Denosta said they initially requested temporary replacements from the DILG on March 16 and followed it up on May 16, but there was no response. With their terms ending on June 30, Denosta emphasized the urgency of approving pending appropriation ordinances for eight municipalities, as well as the governor's proposed 2025 Supplemental Annual Investment Program.
