San jose de buenavista: The Antique Provincial Board has given the go-ahead for Governor Paolo Everardo Javier to collaborate with Food Terminal Inc. (FTI) on the P20 Rice Project, part of the 'Benteng Bigas Meron (BBM) Na' program. This initiative aims to provide rice at PHP20 per kilo, targeting indigent populations, senior citizens, and other marginalized groups.
According to Philippines News Agency, Board Member Fernando Corvera Sr., who leads the Committee on Agriculture at the Provincial Board, emphasized the importance of this project in an interview. He highlighted the board's request for FTI to establish three rice distribution outlets across the province. The proposed locations for these outlets are San Jose de Buenavista, Patnongon, and Culasi, to ensure broad accessibility for residents across different regions.
Residents in the central part of Antique will benefit from affordable rice access in Patnongon, while those in the northern areas can turn to the outlet in Culasi. Meanwhile, the outlet in San Jose de Buenavista will serve those in the southern part of the province. Corvera reiterated the board's support of the PHP20 rice project, noting its significance as a government initiative to aid the marginalized sectors of society.
