ARBOs Generate Over PHP1.16 Million from Agricultural Fair in Camarines Sur

Naga city: Agrarian reform beneficiary organizations (ARBOs) have successfully generated more than PHP1.16 million in sales from agricultural products during a five-day fair.

According to Philippines News Agency, data from the Department of Agrarian Reform (DAR) revealed that 27 ARBOs collectively earned PHP1,166,062 at the Feria de Camarines, held in Naga City from July 17 to 21.

The annual trade fair served as a platform for ARBOs to showcase and sell local food, agricultural, and hand-made products crafted by land reform beneficiaries. Rodel Martirez, the officer in charge - Provincial Agrarian Reform Program Officer II, emphasized that the participation of farmers highlights the thriving agricultural sector in Camarines Sur.

Martirez stated that such events play an essential role in encouraging farmers to enhance their products. He assured that DAR's support will persist in providing a broader market for local products. The PHP1.16 million revenue reflects the increasing support for Bicolano farmers, marking a positive development for the province's economy.
