Bacolod: The Bacolod City Police Office (BCPO) has ensured the safety of students, teachers, and school personnel of the University of Negros Occidental-Recoletos (UNO-R) following a bomb and shooting scare inside the campus at noon on Thursday. He emphasized that no bomb threat or shooting incident had occurred and that continuous coordination with the BCPO was in place to maintain the university community's safety.

According to Philippines News Agency, an investigation revealed that students discovered live ammunition alongside a written note in the Senior High School Building of UNO-R, one of the largest private educational institutions in the city. He praised their quick action, which enabled police to respond swiftly and implement necessary safety measures. Cardi±o assured the public that a thorough investigation is underway and urged Bacolodnons to remain calm and avoid spreading unverified information.
