Bicol: The Police Regional Office in Bicol (PRO-5) announced the arrest of 33 individuals and the confiscation of PHP2.2 million worth of illegal drugs during a weeklong operation from April 13 to 19.

According to Philippines News Agency, the operation included 27 separate actions across various locations, leading to the seizure of 322.30 grams of shabu and 211.33 grams of marijuana. The efforts were a combination of seven warrants of arrest, 19 buy-bust operations, and one additional police intervention.

The arrests included two high-value targets and 29 street-level individuals, indicating a focus on breaking both major drug networks and local distribution channels. PRO-5 has called on the public to remain alert and assist law enforcement by reporting any suspicious activities in their areas.

The Philippine National Police highlighted the importance of community involvement in maintaining the progress achieved in anti-drug operations.
