BTr Upsizes T-Bills Award to PHP28.6 Billion

Manila: The Bureau of the Treasury (BTr) raised PHP28.6 billion from the Treasury bills auction on Monday, exceeding the initial offer of PHP25 billion. "The auction was 3.4 times oversubscribed, attracting PHP84.3 billion in total tenders, prompting the Committee to double the accepted non-competitive bids for the 364-day T-bills to PHP7.2 billion," the BTr stated.

According to Philippines News Agency, total tenders for the 91-day T-bills reached PHP25.6 billion. The Auction Committee accepted PHP8 billion, with the yield settling at 5.468 percent. The BTr also raised PHP8 billion from the 182-day Treasury bills, with total tenders reaching PHP30.3 billion and an average yield of 5.551 percent.

The BTr reported that total tenders for the 364-day T-bills amounted to PHP28.4 billion. The Auction Committee accepted PHP12.6 billion, up from the initial offer of PHP9 billion, with the yield settling at 5.694 percent.
