Butuan city: Operatives from the Butuan City Police Office (BCPO) arrested two drug suspects during the implementation of a search warrant in Barangay Villa Kananga. Authorities also seized over 700 grams of shabu from the suspects with an estimated value of more than PHP4.7 million. Additionally, a .45 caliber pistol with ammunition was confiscated.

According to Philippines News Agency, BCPO Director Col. Rommel Villamor identified the suspects as alias 'Jim,' 52, a resident of Barangay Poblacion, Esperanza, Agusan del Sur, and alias 'Chris,' 42, a resident of Barangay Agao, Butuan City. 'Alias Chris is classified as a high-value individual while the other arrested suspect was considered a street-level individual,' Villamor said.

Villamor commended the operatives from the City Drug Enforcement Unit and the other support units of BCPO for the successful operation. He added that criminal charges are being prepared for filing against the arrested suspects, who are now under the custody of BCPO.
