CAAP Condemns Killing of Palawan Airport Executive

Puerto princesa: The Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines (CAAP) on Thursday strongly condemned the shooting of Puerto Princesa International Airport's acting manager, Joanna Jonson-Infante. The tragic incident has prompted CAAP to urge a comprehensive investigation to ensure justice is served.

According to Philippines News Agency, the unfortunate event took place on Wednesday afternoon on Bayview Road in Barangay San Pedro, Puerto Princesa City. A man reportedly shot Infante in the back before fleeing the scene. Despite being rushed to a hospital, Infante later succumbed to her injuries.

In a news release, CAAP expressed its grave concern over what they described as a senseless act of violence. They have called on authorities to conduct a thorough and swift investigation to hold those responsible accountable under the law. CAAP is actively coordinating with local law enforcement agencies and has pledged full cooperation to support the ongoing investigation.

CAAP Director General Raul Del Rosario emphasized the urgency of the matter, stating, "We trust that law enforcement authorities will pursue this case with urgency and ensure that justice is served."
