Caraga Police Recognize Key Contributors to PCR Month Success

Butuan city: The Police Regional Office (PRO) 13 in Caraga has expressed gratitude to its stakeholders and various police field units for their significant contributions to the success of the 30th Police Community Relations (PCR) Month celebration. The recognition was part of the culmination rites held on Thursday, which also honored personnel for their outstanding community engagement throughout the month-long observance.

According to Philippines News Agency, the ceremonies emphasized the importance of continuing the work of Police-Community Relations beyond the formal observance. Brig. Gen. Marcial Mariano Magistrado IV, who recently took over as the PRO-13 director, highlighted this during his address. Magistrado assumed his position on July 30, succeeding Brig. Gen. Christopher Abrahano, who was appointed as the officer in charge of the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group.

Throughout the PCR Month, PRO-13 engaged with remote communities through various initiatives, including outreach programs, the implementation of the Revitalized Pulis sa Barangay (R-PSB) Quick Impact Projects, as well as bloodletting, public awareness campaigns, and gift-giving activities. These efforts were instrumental in fostering stronger community ties and enhancing public safety.

The Philippine News Agency in Caraga was among the entities recognized for its ongoing support, along with the Manila Bulletin and the Rotary Club of Central San Francisco, Agusan del Sur. Department of the Interior and Local Government Regional Director Maria Loisella Lucino and Director Josephmar Gil of the National Police Commission were present to assist Magistrado in distributing the recognitions, reinforcing the collaborative effort between the police and community stakeholders for the betterment of local communities.
