Camarines sur: The Department of Social Welfare and Development in Bicol (DSWD-5) distributed more than PHP2.2 million in cash to 1,334 beneficiaries from various towns in Camarines Sur.
According to Philippines News Agency, DSWD-5 Regional Director Norman Laurio reported that the beneficiaries included farmers and fisherfolk from the towns of Caramoan, Presentacion, Lagonoy, San Jose, Sag±ay, and Tigaon. These areas were affected by recent weather disturbances, prompting the need for financial assistance.
The cash-for-work beneficiaries each received PHP1,600. This program is designed to aid families requiring immediate support to improve their living conditions.
