Naga city: Police Regional Office in Bicol (PRO-5) Regional Director Brig. Gen. Erosito Miranda ordered the Naga City Police Office to carry out a manhunt against the primary suspect in the murder of sisters whose bodies were discovered in separate locations Sunday.
According to Philippines News Agency, Miranda assured the public that police would pursue every lead and mobilize available resources to apprehend the suspect to both killings.
A resident reported finding a woman's body beside the road in Barangay Concepcion Grande, Naga City. The victim was found with severe injuries, including the amputation of her right arm and multiple hack wounds on her left arm and neck. Based on personal belongings, the victim was identified only as "Claudine," 27 years old.
On the same day, police found a second body, wrapped in a bedsheet and bound with electrical wire, this time at Barangay Concepcion Peque±a. She was identified as "Mae," 25, Claudine's sister. She succumbed to multiple stab wounds to the chest.
Investigators identified Claudine's live-in partner, Mar, 35, as the primary suspect. A crime of passion is being considered a potential motive. Police said the suspect is at large, and his parents told police he had sent messages expressing regret.
