Davao city: The Davao City Police Office (DCPO) is emphasizing that a five-minute emergency response is crucial for saving lives, highlighting the importance of speed, accuracy, and coordination. During a demonstration at the Integrated Command Center (ICC) on Thursday, Acting DCPO City Director Col. Mannan Muarip stated that every second counts when responding to a call for assistance.
According to Philippines News Agency, Muarip demonstrated the city's commitment to quick, coordinated emergency responses via the ICC, which aimed for a five-minute response time in a simulated crisis test. Three carefully crafted scenarios were carried out to demonstrate the ICC's effectiveness: a robbery hold-up, a shooting incident, and a hostage situation.
'The successful execution of all scenarios reflected not only the operational readiness of DCPO units but also the robustness of the ICC's integrated technological and strategic framework,' Muarip said. He also reaffirmed his commitment to strengthening police-community engagement.
