DOJ Opens Action Center in Soccsksargen to Enhance Legal Access

Koronadal City: The Department of Justice (DOJ) on Thursday announced the opening of the seventh DOJ Action Center regional office in Koronadal City to boost its free legal assistance to the public.

According to Philippines News Agency, the center's opening on Tuesday aligns with President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr.'s administration's mandate to uphold the rule of law and make justice accessible to every Filipino. DOJAC, established in 1985, has regional offices in Manila, Ilocos Region, Central Luzon, Bicol, Central Visayas, Northern Mindanao, Davao Region, and now, Soccsksargen.

The center offers services including legal counselling, referrals and endorsements to appropriate government offices, and mediation services. Justice Undersecretary Margarita Gutierrez emphasized the significance of this development, noting the previous challenges Filipinos faced in accessing justice due to various barriers.

Secretary Jesus Crispin Remulla reiterated the DOJ's commitment to providing equal access to justice, ensuring that every Filipino has a fair opportunity to seek legal assistance.
