Manila: The Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) will hold a community-based job fair on July 30 at the Tacloban City Convention Center, offering 300 job vacancies to beneficiaries of National Housing Authority (NHA) resettlement sites in the city.

According to Philippines News agency, the Trabaho Agad Job Fair is part of the Leyte People's Caravan 2026 organized by the NHA and aims to bring employment opportunities and services closer to jobseekers in resettlement communities. DOLE Eastern Visayas Regional Director Joan N. Noya-Nidua stated that the activity will connect targeted job seekers with legitimate employers while providing accessible recruitment and placement services.

Noya-Nidua emphasized the collaboration with the NHA to cater to targeted job seekers, providing accessible and responsive recruitment services by connecting them with legitimate employers through community-based job fairs and placement activities. Around 10 local employers are expected to participate in the one-day recruitment activity, offering positions such as customer service representatives, data entry operators, cashiers, drivers, financial advisors, merchandisers, and unit managers, among other in-demand occupations.

Applicants are advised to bring multiple copies of their r©sum© or curriculum vitae, valid identification cards, and other employment-related documents to facilitate the processing of their applications. The job fair will also provide on-site employment facilitation, labor market information, and other employment-related services.

The activity highlights the partnership between DOLE and NHA in expanding access to employment services and promoting inclusive growth by bringing job opportunities directly to communities in Eastern Visayas.
