DTI Antique Opens Applications for MSME Mentoring Program

San jose de buenavista: There are eight slots now available for micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) interested in enrolling with the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) Antique provincial office mentoring sessions to grow their businesses.

According to Philippines News Agency, DTI Antique trade and industry development specialist Jenny May Tabalanza stated that they are in the process of accepting applications for the second batch of the Kapatid Mentor Me (KMME)-Money Market Encounter program under the regional office. The program, composed of 10 modules, is intended to equip MSMEs with knowledge on how to scale up their businesses using the 3Ms-mentorship, money, and market. "The KMME-Money Market Encounter sessions will be conducted online and twice a week," Tabalanza said.

Applicants must be at least 18 years of age, Filipino, owners or co-owners and/or partners of the business, and the business must be registered with the DTI and the Bureau of Internal Revenue, among others. The deadline for submission of applications is on July 28, while the mentoring sessions will start on August 11.

Tabalanza also noted that the first batch of the KMME-Money Market Encounter graduated on June 5. During the 2025 Provincial MSME Summit at the CityMall Antique in San Jose de Buenavista on Tuesday, the eight graduates from Antique were awarded their certificates of completion by DTI Regional Director Rachel Nufable and Antique provincial director Mary Jade Gonzales.

Three of the graduates-Caleb Maglunob of CAM Photos and Film Productions, Karissa Claudine Dalumpines of Karay-a Chick and Food Hub, and Jan Sandino Pachoco of Hamungaya Farms-were among the 12 topnotchers for their Business Improvement Plans. Nufable emphasized that the DTI conducts the mentoring sessions for MSMEs in recognition of their vital role as the backbone of the local economy.
