Manila: Fuel prices are set to increase on Tuesday, as oil firms announced below PHP1 price hike. In separate advisories, Caltex, Cleanfuel, Jetti, Petro Gazz, Seaoil, and Shell said they will increase gasoline by 60 centavos per liter and diesel prices by 95 centavos per liter. Caltex, Seaoil, and Shell will also adjust upward the prices of kerosene by 30 centavos per liter. These oil firms will change the fuel prices as early as 6 a.m. of June 10. Other industry players are expected to follow suit with the oil price hike announcement.
According to Philippines News Agency, the oil price hike this week came after companies implemented mixed price adjustments, increasing the prices of gasoline and diesel while slashing kerosene prices. The price movement last week brought gasoline prices in Metro Manila to range between PHP44 and PHP71.23 per liter; from PHP44 to PHP66.27 per liter for diesel; and from PHP67.49 and PHP82.54 per liter for kerosene.
