GSIS Earns Top ARTA Marks; Honors Branches, Staff for Reforms

Manila: The Government Service Insurance System (GSIS) announced on Thursday it has been recognized as one of the top-performing agencies in the Anti-Red Tape Authority (ARTA)'s Report Card Survey, given its digitalization measures.

According to Philippines News Agency, ARTA Director General Ernesto Perez praised GSIS's 'heart-driven' approach to service and reform, highlighting the GSIS Touch mobile app and online claims processing as models for responsive and citizen-centered governance. During an event on June 9, which marked the culmination of Ease of Doing Business (EODB) Month, Perez stated, 'GSIS is one of the best performers in our ARTA Report Card Survey - proof that real reform is possible when service comes with heart,' as quoted by the GSIS statement.

GSIS President and General Manager Wick Veloso emphasized the agency's service philosophy in his address to employees, stating, 'Ang tunay na serbisyo ay hindi lang mahusay - dapat dama ang malasakit (True service is not only efficient - it must be felt with compassion).' He underscored that GSIS's transformation is rooted in empathy, trust, and accessibility.

The GSIS also conferred the Galing Serbisyo Commendation Awards to 10 high-performing branches-Baguio, Butuan, Catbalogan, General Santos, Kidapawan, Roxas, Surigao, Tarlac, Tagum, and the GSIS Home Office (NCR 1 and 2)-for excellence in client service and compliance with EODB standards. Additionally, ten employees were recognized for innovations and frontline service that enhanced the member and pensioner experience.

'Reform begins with us - in our lens, our counters, our decisions, and in how we treat every client and every co-worker,' Perez added.
