Manila: Unseeded Japanese player Aoi Ishizaki claimed the boys' singles title by defeating his compatriot Shun Munetoh 7-5, 6-2 in the final match of the ITF J30 Manila first leg held at the Rizal Memorial Tennis Center's hardcourt.

According to Philippines News Agency, Ishizaki also partnered with Kango Endoh to win the doubles title against Munetoh and Rentaro Otaka, with a score of 6-4, 6-3. The 15-year-old Ishizaki is set to participate in the second leg of the tournament starting Tuesday. During his victorious run, Ishizaki overcame No. 3 seed Ariyaphol Leekul from Thailand in the quarterfinals and No. 6 seed Kuranosuke Suzuki from Japan in the semifinals. Munetoh, who was a qualifier in the main draw, surprised many by defeating No. 4 seed Napat Pattanalertphan of Thailand in the quarterfinals and No. 2 seed Ruochen Gao of China in the semifinals.

On the girls' side, South Korea's No. 2 seed Park Seojin emerged victorious with a 6-4, 6-3 win against top seed Yi-Ching Huang from Chinese Taipei, securing the girls' singles title. Yi-Ching Huang, an 18-year-old member of the Under-16 national team, acknowledged Park's strong performance, particularly her solid forehand. Huang has previously won three doubles titles this year and expressed satisfaction with her efforts in her final ITF Juniors tournament, according to her coach Rau Gau Yu, who has been guiding her for seven years.

In the girls' doubles final, the third-seeded duo of Paweenon Nualsri from Thailand and Ying Chi Chloe Wong from Hong Kong triumphed over China's fourth-seeded pair, Wang Jiayi and Xu Yishan, with a scoreline of 6-2, 6-3.
