LTO Dagupan Launches Caravan to Address Motorcycle Plate Backlog

Dagupan city: The Land Transportation Office (LTO) in Dagupan City is actively conducting a motorcycle plate releasing caravan across various locations to tackle the backlog in plate distribution. According to Philippines News Agency, the caravan addresses the release of plates for motorcycles or tricycles registered between 2014 and 2017. It also includes motorcycles without an assigned plate number in their certificate of registration, those with temporary or virtual plates, and motorcycles with old design plates featuring six to seven characters. The event kicked off on August 16, with activities held at the Mapandan Auditorium in Mapandan, Pangasinan; Orbos Gymnasium in Santa Barbara, Pangasinan; Mayor's Gate in San Jacinto, Pangasinan; and Robinsons Place-Lingkod Pinoy Center in Calasiao, Pangasinan. The following day, the caravan continued at the Robinsons Place-Lingkod Pinoy Center in Calasiao, Pangasinan. Recent events took place on Monday and Tuesday of this week at the SM Center Dagupan. The car avan is scheduled to continue from August 21 to 22 at the CSI Lucao and Robinsons Place Lingkod Pinoy Center in Calasiao, Pangasinan, and on August 23 at the Calasiao Plaza's Stage, operating from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. During a phone interview, LTO Dagupan chief Rommel Dawaton emphasized that the caravan aligns with the upcoming strict implementation of the 'no plate, no travel policy.' Data from LTO-Dagupan indicates that a total of 8,157 plates are slated for distribution during these events.
