Manila: President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. inaugurated the new headquarters of the Presidential Guards Group in San Miguel, Manila, acknowledging the dedication and professionalism of the personnel tasked with protecting the President, the First Family, and the nation.
According to Philippines News Agency, the opening of the new facility emphasized the government's ongoing commitment to enhancing the welfare and operational capabilities of the Presidential Security Command (PSC). The Presidential Communications Office (PCO) highlighted in a statement the President's recognition of the unwavering service provided by the PSC in ensuring safety and security.
President Marcos commended the PSC members for their dedication and the critical role they play in maintaining the security and continuity of government operations. He emphasized the need for discipline, competence, and constant preparedness among the presidential security personnel.
Marcos urged the guards to treat the new building as their second home while they continue to fulfill their duties. The new headquarters is anticipated to enhance the group's ability to perform its mandate through improved facilities and better working conditions.
