NCR Under Code White Alert for Traslacion; 20 Hospitals on Standby

Manila: The Department of Health - Metro Manila Center for Health Development (DOH-MMCHD) has declared a Code White Alert across the National Capital Region (NCR) in preparation for the upcoming Traslacion 2026. Health Emergency Response Teams have been strategically positioned along the procession route, including key areas such as Rizal Park, SM Manila, Ayala Bridge, P. Casal, and Quinta Market, to ensure immediate medical assistance is available when needed.

According to Philippines News Agency, the alert status includes placing 20 DOH hospitals in Metro Manila on standby for emergency response. These hospitals are equipped to manage patients requiring extensive medical care during the event. Additionally, over 200 health responders, supported by ambulances, are ready to facilitate quick referrals and provide medical services ranging from basic first aid to advanced emergency care.

The DOH-MMCHD has issued reminders to devotees to prioritize health and safety, advising those who are unwell to refrain from attending. Devotees are encouraged to stay hydrated, adhere to their medication regimes, wear comfortable clothing, avoid prolonged heat exposure, and follow safety advisories. The department emphasizes that close coordination between government agencies and the public is essential for a safe and orderly Traslacion.
