NorMin Police Pledge Action Against Officers Accused of Misconduct

Cagayan de oro: The Police Regional Office-Northern Mindanao (PRO-10) has issued a stern warning, stating it will not hesitate to remove and penalize officers and personnel found guilty of grave misconduct and abuse either within their workplace or towards the public.

According to Philippines News Agency, Maj. Joann Navarro, spokesperson for PRO-10, confirmed that several officials are being questioned by the Regional Investigation and Detective Management Division. This division has formed teams to investigate "serious allegations" of abuse and irregularities following accusations against a PRO-10 official. These claims surfaced in a Facebook post alleging sexual harassment and other forms of workplace mistreatment.

Navarro emphasized that if there is sufficient evidence, the command will proceed with filing charges and taking appropriate actions. Additionally, the PRO-10 Internal Affairs Service is conducting its own separate investigation into the matter.

The accused official has denied the allegations, urging the public to critically assess social media posts made under fictitious names. "The information available online appears to have originated from anonymous and unverified social media accounts designed to malign my reputation," the official stated.
