According to Philippines News Agency, NPC Commissioner John Henry Naga announced the signing of a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with the PNP-ACG, which aligns with the Marcos administration's whole-of-government approach. The MOU aims to bolster the NPC's capacity to act swiftly and decisively in addressing threats, responding clearly in times of crisis, and ensuring seamless coordination in the pursuit of accountability.

The agreement establishes a framework for collaboration between the NPC and the PNP-ACG, focusing on issues at the intersection of data protection and cybercrime. Commissioner Naga emphasized that the initiatives outlined in the MOU are designed to ensure that each agency fulfills its mandate, enhances the protection of the public's rights to data privacy and cybersecurity, and maximizes the use of government resources for the benefit of the Filipino people. The accord also specifies mutual enforcement support, assisting each agency in implementing letters, resolutions, or decisions of the other, with standardized processes and timelines.

The MOU, which was signed by NPC Commissioner John Henry Naga and PNP-ACG Acting Director Brig. Gen. Bernard Yang at the PNP ACG Building, Camp Crame, Quezon City, takes effect immediately and will remain in effect for three years, unless amended, revoked, or terminated by mutual agreement.
