Manila: Economic activities around New Clark City in Capas, Tarlac are expected to receive a boost with the opening of a PHP5.1-billion premium golf course and residential villas. The development, spanning a 150-hectare area, is anticipated to be operational by the first quarter of 2026.
According to Philippines News Agency, the investment is a collaboration between South Korea's leading real estate investment management firms, Korea Real Estate Investment and Trust (KOREIT) Asset Management, and Sky Blue New Clark City Golf and Resort Corp. This venture is projected to generate approximately 1,200 direct and indirect jobs, enhancing the country's sports and tourism infrastructure.
The project, led by KOREIT subsidiaries Eagle-K GC Corp. and Eagle-K RV Corp., will feature the construction of an 18-hole championship golf course and clubhouse covering about 77 hectares, a 52-hectare 9-hole extension, and residential villas with associated amenities.
BCDA President and CEO, Engr. Joshua Bingcang, emphasized the long-term potential of the project for New Clark City. He noted KOREIT's investment as a testament to the confidence global investors have in the area, underscoring the project's role in strengthening the investment pipeline and supporting the development of competitive, sustainable growth centers.
Bingcang further stated that the project transcends the mere construction of new facilities by creating jobs, fostering opportunities for local communities, and promoting regional growth, thereby advancing New Clark City's status as a world-class, sustainable district.
