Manila: The Philippine National Police's Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG) conducted a significant operation in October, seizing evidence valued at over PHP98.2 million and arresting 1,311 individuals across the nation. The campaign targeted all forms of criminality through comprehensive manhunt operations.

According to Philippines News Agency, CIDG Director Maj. Gen. Robert Morico II announced the arrest of 1,311 suspects, which included wanted persons and fugitives. The operations led to the confiscation of 182 loose firearms, 16 explosives, assorted magazines, and a large amount of ammunition. The total value of the evidence seized in October amounted to PHP98,207,184.57.

The arrests included four individuals listed as National Most Wanted Persons with Rewards, 177 Regional Most Wanted Persons, and 130 Provincial Most Wanted Persons. The CIDG also detained 13 members of the Communist Terrorist Group, one member of a local terrorist group, one member of a criminal group, and 14 foreign nationals for violating various laws.

Confiscated items included alleged substandard, counterfeit, smuggled, and trademark-infringing products. These comprised cylinders and canisters of liquified petroleum products, vape products, illegal drugs, and illicit Gmelina and Mahogany lumbers.

Maj. Gen. Morico stated that the CIDG filed 179 criminal complaints against the suspects and law violators with the National Prosecution Service.
