Manila: President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. remains focused on governance despite an improvement in his satisfaction ratings according to the latest Social Weather Stations (SWS) survey. Palace Press Officer Claire Castro said the President neither celebrates nor worries about survey numbers, stressing that delivering government services remains his priority.
According to Philippines News Agency, the President is not affected by the numbers, whether they go up or down. His focus is to work. Whatever needs to be delivered to the Filipino people, that is what the President and this administration will do, Castro said in a Palace briefing. She added that while surveys are not ignored, they primarily serve as a guide for Cabinet members in identifying areas that need greater attention.
Surveys are not disregarded. Cabinet members look at them to determine which areas need to be pushed and given greater attention, she said. But whether the survey improves or not, the President will not be affected by it.
The June 20 to 29 SWS survey found that 38 percent of adult Filipinos were satisfied with the President's performance, 45 percent were dissatisfied, and 17 percent were undecided. SWS said dissatisfaction declined from 49 percent in March, while satisfaction increased from 33 percent.
