Manila: President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. has directed the Department of Transportation (DOTr) and the Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines (CAAP) to engage with authorities in Malaysia and Singapore concerning the concealed air assets linked to former Ako Bicol Party-list Representative Zaldy Co.

According to Philippines News Agency, the aircraft, which include helicopters and airplanes, are reportedly under the ownership of Misibis Aviation and Development Corp., a company associated with Co. The Anti-Money Laundering Council (AMLC) has already implemented a freeze order to prevent any movement or disposition of these assets.

President Marcos emphasized that assets misappropriated from the Filipino people cannot be used to evade justice. He stated, "You cannot steal from the Filipino people and expect to hide or fly away on your private jets. You may have the money to run, but you cannot outrun the Republic of the Philippines."

The President also reiterated his call for those involved in irregularities to return to the Philippines without delay, advising them that they are no longer considered tourists but are now pursued by the law.

Previously, President Marcos mandated the arrest of Co and 17 officials from the Department of Public Works and Highways and Sunwest Corp. due to their connection to controversial flood control projects, underscoring his commitment to ensuring that no one receives special treatment.
