Tagaytay: The Philippines clinched two more medals, concluding a successful campaign at the 10th Aero Gymnastics Asian Championships held at the Tagaytay CT Velodrome. The national team delivered a commendable performance, securing a silver medal in the team senior aero dance event with a score of 16.60 points, thanks to a performance featuring local ethnic dances alongside the popular "Budots" beat. This event was organized by the Philippine Sports Commission.
According to Philippines News Agency, the silver medal-winning team comprised Arcanio Cadlos, Charmaine Dolar, Enrico Ostia, James Dominick Yray, Jhon Jeoffrey Ca±ones, siblings Dorothy Grace and Danielle Asuncion, and Princess Johanna Pama. Vietnam took the gold medal with 17.250 points, while Mongolia earned the bronze with 16.475 points.
Cadlos and Dolar, previously silver medalists at the 2025 Thailand Southeast Asian Games, added another medal to their tally, securing a bronze in the senior mixed pair category with a score of 18.30 points, behind the dominant Vietnamese athletes.
The youth aero dance team from the Philippines, featuring Enoch Ryan, Jan Basmayor, Mikhaela Ladaran, Sean Emmanuel, Leona Shendrach, Jane Hallel Ramos, Anne Miguel Martin, Casey Meniano, Nathalya Facultad, and Anne Haizzah Meniano, also achieved success by winning a bronze medal with a score of 16.700 points.
Overall, the Philippines' gymnasts concluded the championship with an impressive haul of one gold, one silver, and three bronze medals. National coach Alena Rius expressed satisfaction with the results, emphasizing the hard work and preparation of the athletes. She highlighted the significance of the bronze medal won by Charmaine and Arcenio, noting the high caliber of their Vietnamese competitors who are world-ranked.
Gymnastics Association of the Philippines (GAP) president Cynthia Carrion praised the smooth organization of the event, which attracted participation from 12 Asian countries and nearly 500 athletes and officials. Carrion commended the organizing team and expressed pride in the athletes' performances in front of a supportive home crowd, noting their competitive spirit against some of Asia's best.
