Quezon City: The Philippine National Police (PNP) has announced the launch of its new 'PNP Service' mobile application, aimed at improving public access to the agency's processes and services.
According to Philippines News Agency, the mobile app serves as a centralized platform providing a range of services to the public. Initially available for Android users, the app can be downloaded from the Google Play Store. It facilitates easy communication with the PNP and provides information on various services and processes, including the processing of firearms licenses, License to Own and Possess Firearm (LTOPF), police clearances, and access to the Pulis News Network. It also includes links to different PNP offices or units.
PNP spokesperson Brig. Gen. Jean Fajardo highlighted the app's features in a press briefing at Camp Crame in Quezon City. She explained that the app includes official websites, social media accounts, and contact numbers for PNP units, as well as instructions on using the 911 emergency system. The app also incorporates the e-sumbong (complaint) system and other frontline services offered by the PNP.
Brig. Gen. Fajardo emphasized the app's convenience, stating, "We want to announce to the public that there is now a single PNP service that they can access if they need any assistance or help from the PNP." She also mentioned that the PNP is considering integrating the mobile app into the eGov PH super app, a digital platform that enables Filipinos to access government services anytime and anywhere.
