PTA’s Madis and Aludo Secure Spot in PHINMA-ITF 2 Doubles Finals

Makati city: Philippine Tennis Academy players Tennielle Madis and Stefi Marithe Aludo advanced to the girls' doubles finals after defeating third seeds Seojin Park of Korea and Haritha Shree Venkaresh of India with a commanding score of 6-1, 6-0. This victory occurred during the second leg of the J60 PHINMA-ITF Championships, hosted at the Manila Polo Club shell court.

According to Philippines News Agency, Madis and Aludo will now face the top-seeded pair, Yesung Choo of Korea and Yu-Ning Tsai of Chinese Taipei. Choo and Tsai managed to overcome fourth seeds Taylah Lessue of Australia and Elizaveta Nalesnik of Russia after a challenging match, finishing with scores of 3-6, 6-2, 10-4. Madis and Aludo had previously claimed the first leg title by defeating Tsai and Chinese Yuhan Chen with a score of 6-2, 7-5.

In singles competition, top-ranked Madis overcame a tough match against No. 7 Nalesnik, winning 2-6, 6-2, 7-6 (7). Madis is set to compete against No. 4 Chen in the semifinals, following Chen's victory over No. 8 Taiwanese Yen-Ni Chiang, 6-2, 6-4. Aludo, ranked No. 6 and runner-up in the first leg, also advanced to the semifinals by defeating No. 3 Tsai, 6-3, 6-3. Aludo will face second seed and first leg champion Choo, who won against Japanese Fukui with scores of 7-5, 6-1.

In the boys' singles category, first-leg winner Min Hyuk Cho of Korea secured a semifinal position after defeating Indian Daksh Kukreti, 6-2, 6-3. Cho, seeded third, will face No. 2 compatriot Tae Woo Kim, who triumphed over No. 6 Singaporean Luke Jie Xi Ho, 6-0, 6-3. Previously, Cho defeated Kim in last week's finals with scores of 7-5, 6-3.

In other matches, India's Hruthik Katakam emerged victorious over compatriot Yashwin Dahiya, 6-4, 4-6, 6-2, setting up a semifinal against No. 4 Australian Lachlan King, who defeated No. 8 Indian Ojas Mehlawat, 6-4, 6-3.

In the boys' doubles category, No. 1 seeds Min Hyuk Cho and Se Hyuk Cho of Korea progressed to the finals after overcoming fourth seeds Luke Jie Xi Ho of Singapore and Hruthik Katakam, 6-2, 7-6 (0). They will face No. 2 seeds Kuan-Ting Chen of Chinese Taipei and Tae Woo Kim of Korea, who prevailed over No. 3 Australians Ari Lewis-Kelly and Lachlan King, 6-4, 1-6, 10-2.
