Davao city: People's Television (PTV) Mindanao Public Affairs launched two new shows on Monday, showcasing authentic stories of the island region to a broader audience, highlighting its rich culture, people, and progress.
According to Philippines News Agency, Vina Araneta-Pilapil, head of PTV Mindanao, announced the introduction of the travel show 'Pit Stop Pinas' and the talk show 'Straight Shot' during a press briefing. She explained that the motivation behind the new programs was to create content that is "new and fresh." 'Pit Stop Pinas,' hosted by motovlogger Alexah Gabia, aims to feature the various locations and natural beauty of Mindanao.
Araneta-Pilapil emphasized the unique nature of 'Pit Stop Pinas,' stating, "This is a unique show because we will tell you a story that most people don't know yet." She also mentioned plans to eventually expand the show's coverage to include places in Luzon and the Visayas as well, aiming to display the beauty of the entire Philippines.
On the other hand, 'Straight Shot' is set to air every Saturday from 3:30 p.m. to 4 p.m. starting this month. Araneta-Pilapil described it as a platform for "real talk" with individuals from different walks of life, allowing them to discuss their advocacies, programs, and personal experiences.
