KUALA LUMPUR, The public is advised to remain vigilant and stay updated on the current flood situation affecting several states. Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi urged the people to follow the instructions of authorities to ensure the safety of themselves and their families. "Prioritise safety and stay in contact with local authorities in case of any emergencies," he said in a statement on his Facebook page today. Ahmad Zahid, who is also National Disaster Management Committee chairman, noted that Pahang is among the latest states affected by floods as of 6 am today. He added that up-to-date information on disasters across the country can be obtained through the official portal of the National Disaster Management Agency (NADMA) at https://portalbencana.nadma.gov.my/ms/laporan.
