Sorsogon city: A bettor from Sorsogon City won the PHP14.4 million jackpot in Friday night's Megalotto 6/45 draw, the Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO) announced on Saturday.
According to Philippines News Agency, the winning ticket was purchased in Barangay Cabid-An, Sorsogon City. The bettor correctly picked the winning combination - 44-21-19-10-18-11 - with a corresponding jackpot of PHP14,435,567.
The winner has up to one year to claim the prize at the PCSO main office in Mandaluyong City. The winnings are subject to a 20 percent tax, as required under the Tax Reform for Acceleration and Inclusion (TRAIN) Law, which applies to lotto prizes exceeding PHP10,000.
Meanwhile, 33 bettors who correctly picked five of the six numbers will receive PHP32,000 each, while 1,276 players won PHP1,000 each for four correct digits, and 21,701 bettors will get PHP30 each for three correct digits. The Megalotto 6/45 draw is held every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday.
