Manila: The United States Embassy in Manila is suspending its consular operations on July 23 amid the incessant rains in the National Capital Region. 'The Consular Section of the US Embassy in the Philippines will remain closed for US citizen services and visa appointments tomorrow, July 23, 2025, due to continued severe weather in Metro Manila,' it said in an advisory on Tuesday. 'The safety of Consular staff, U.S. citizens, and visa applicants is our top priority.'
According to Philippines News Agency, those with scheduled appointments on July 23 are advised to check their registered email address for detailed scheduling instructions. The offsite Visa Application Center in Para±aque City, on the other hand, will remain open on Wednesday for all scheduled biometrics appointments.
Visa applicants who have scheduling concerns, meanwhile, may call the embassy customer service center at (02) 8548-8223 or (02) 7792-8988 for immediate assistance, the embassy said.
