10,000 Job Opportunities Await in Ilocos Region Job Fairs

Ilocos region: More than 10,000 job vacancies will be available to job seekers in the Ilocos Region during a series of job fairs scheduled from Dec. 2 to 11, the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) said Friday.

According to Philippines News Agency, DOLE 1 (Ilocos Region) information officer Jenny Mapile highlighted that the job fairs are part of the agency's 92nd founding anniversary celebration and will be held across multiple provinces. The job fairs aim to connect job seekers with potential employers and offer a wide range of employment opportunities.

The job fairs will commence at the Aringay Amphitheater in La Union and the Bacarra USA National Cultural Center in Ilocos Norte on Dec. 2. Subsequent fairs will be held at the Mangaldan Municipal Building in Pangasinan on Dec. 4, CB Mall in Urdaneta City on Dec. 5, Sta. Cruz Cultural, Tourism, and Trade Center in Ilocos Sur and the Dagupan City People's Astrodome on Dec. 6, Bangar Municipal Sports Complex in La Union on Dec. 8, Laoag City Hall Auditorium on Dec. 10, and finally at the Shahani Sports Complex in Mangatarem and the Don Leopoldo Sison Auditorium in Alaminos City on Dec. 11.

Mapile confirmed that there will be no pre-registration required for these job fairs, allowing job seekers to directly participate in the events. Various local job openings include positions such as aircon installers, technicians, drivers, company nurses, baggers, clerks, cashiers, and bakers. For those interested in overseas employment, opportunities are available for carpenters, landscape gardeners, draftsmen, civil engineers, welders, mechanics, and machine operators.
