Allianz PNB and PDRF Provide Aid to Mindanao Earthquake Victims

General Santos City:Manila Help continues to pour in for victims of the magnitude 7.8 earthquake that shook Mindanao in June. Beyond damaged homes and disrupted livelihoods, families are working to regain a sense of normalcy and communities are striving to rebuild what was lost.

According to Philippines News Agency, employees of Allianz PNB Life initiated a voluntary fundraising drive to assist affected families. Allianz matched the contributions from its employees, totaling a donation of PHP350,000. The funds will be directed through the Philippine Disaster Resilience Foundation (PDRF) for its Child and Maternal Support Program in selected communities within Sarangani province and General Santos City.

The program aims to provide emergency nutrition assistance, newborn care packages, and hygiene and sanitation kits, particularly targeting children under five years of age, lactating mothers, and other families dealing with the aftermath of the disaster.

For Allianz employees who participated, the initiative served as a reminder of the prolonged recovery process and the impact of even small acts of support on easing the burdens faced by families. Ryanne Balintec, Information Portfolio and Business Relationship Manager, emphasized the importance of letting affected families know they are not forgotten, even as media attention fades.

Pionna Arenas, Service Excellence Lead, highlighted how individual acts of generosity gain significance when people act collectively. Rozanne Magararu, Chief Marketing Officer of Allianz PNB Life, expressed gratitude to employees and partners at PDRF for their support in providing much-needed assistance on the ground.
