CHED Welcomes World Bank Findings for Functional Review

Manila: The Commission on Higher Education (CHED) has welcomed the initial findings of the World Bank on its functional review. CHED Chairperson Shirley Agrupis stated that the preliminary findings and recommendations will assist in improving the agency's operations.

According to Philippines News Agency, the review supports ongoing reforms aimed at strengthening the Commission's capacity to serve students and higher education institutions. The ongoing study is also expected to enhance governance and systems for students and stakeholders.

The recommendations from the review may aid in fortifying regulatory processes, improving scholarship management, accelerating system digitization, and enhancing governance mechanisms across the Commission. The functional review, which began on January 30, is part of CHED's ACHIEVE agenda. This agenda aims to ensure stronger governance, smarter systems, and a more responsive public service that genuinely benefits Filipino students and higher education institutions nationwide.
