Pasig: The Pasig Regional Trial Court (RTC) has mandated the transfer of former Bamban, Tarlac mayor Alice Leal Guo from the Pasig City Jail Female Dormitory to the Correctional Institution for Women (CIW) in Mandaluyong City. This order follows her conviction for the offense of qualified trafficking.
According to Philippines News Agency, the transfer order was detailed in a four-page commitment document issued by Presiding Judge Annielyn Medes-Cabelis of Pasig RTC Branch 167. Along with Guo, the court also ordered the transfer of Rachelle Carreon and Jamielyn Santos Cruz to the CIW, which is operated by the Bureau of Corrections.
Standard operating procedures dictate that upon Guo's and the others' commitment to the CIW, a designated receiving officer at the Reception and Diagnostic Center (RDC) will welcome them. The initial procedures involve verifying their documents and personal belongings. Subsequently, they will undergo a five-day quarantine at the RDC.
Following the quarantine period, the individuals will receive a medical examination. They will then be transferred to the RDC regular dormitory for a 55-day period of orientation, diagnostics, and qualification. Upon completion of this 60-day process, they will be relocated to their assigned regular dormitories at the Maximum-Security Camp.
