First Lady Advocates for Enhanced Healthcare Access for Soldiers

Manila: First Lady Liza Araneta-Marcos has called for improved healthcare services for soldiers and their families, highlighting the importance of their well-being given their sacrifices in protecting the nation.

According to Philippines News Agency, the First Lady underscored the dedication of government troops in a social media post, recognizing the courage, sacrifice, and patriotism that each uniform represents. She stressed the necessity of ensuring that healthcare services are accessible to the soldiers who are committed to safeguarding the country.

In a symbolic move to enhance healthcare accessibility, Araneta-Marcos spearheaded the handover of 11 mobile laboratory vans to the Philippine Army during a ceremony held in Taguig. She acknowledged the unique challenges faced by military personnel, particularly those stationed far from their families in remote locations, underscoring the need for convenient healthcare access.

The initiative aims to facilitate timely medical attention and early disease detection for troops and their families. Araneta-Marcos emphasized that providing care to those who protect the nation is a significant way to honor their sacrifices.

Aligned with President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr.'s goal of broadening healthcare access for all Filipinos, the donation of mobile medical laboratories was realized through the First Lady's Lab for All Program, in collaboration with Robinsons Land Foundation, Inc. The mobile units are set to deliver diagnostic and medical services to military personnel and their dependents, particularly benefiting those in distant assignments.
