Marikina Initiates Phase 2 of Concepcion Dos Super Health Center

Marikina: The city government of Marikina announced on Friday that it has commenced the works for the completion of the Concepcion Dos Super Health Center, in line with Mayor Maan Teodoro's commitment to see the project through to completion.

According to Philippines News Agency, Mayor Teodoro had previously directed architect Raymond Aquino of the City Architectural Office to mobilize personnel from the City Engineering Department to initiate Phase 2 of the project. Heavy construction equipment, including a backhoe and three dump trucks, has been deployed to the site for a two-day clearing operation to manage grass and debris, as well as to secure the board-ups in the area. The proper construction of the health center is set to begin on Monday.

The envisioned Super Health Center is not just an ordinary facility; it is planned as a four-story, multispecialty building designed to offer basic medical services and accommodate an autism center for children with special needs. Mayor Teodoro emphasized that the construction of the Concepcion Dos Super Health Center will now be directly overseen by the local government, shifting away from third-party contractors.

In her statement, Teodoro explained, "Ibig sabihin po, by admin na ang construction - equipment, materials, workers, provided na lahat ng city government (This means that the construction is now under the administration - equipment, materials, workers, all provided by the city government)."

A letter addressed to Department of Health Secretary Herbosa, dated October 9, 2025, from the city government, indicated that the decision had been made to proceed with the construction and completion of the facility using locally-sourced funds.
