Palace Affirms Trust in Frasco and Herbosa Amid Criticisms

Malaca±ang: Palace on Monday dismissed criticisms directed at Tourism Secretary Christina Garcia Frasco and Health Secretary Teodoro Herbosa, saying both Cabinet members continue to enjoy the trust and confidence of President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr.

According to Philippines News Agency, Palace Press Officer Claire Castro stated that there have been no discussions between the President and the two officials regarding alleged public dissatisfaction circulating on social media. Castro emphasized that the rumors of dissatisfaction are merely speculative.

'Wala pong anumang pag-uusap patungkol po sa mga sinasabing mga dissatisfaction na binabanggit po sa social media, sa online, at iyan lamang po ay puro ispikulasyon (There has been no discussion regarding the supposed dissatisfaction being mentioned on social media or online, and these are purely speculation),' Castro said in a Palace briefing.

She further confirmed that both secretaries remain in good standing with the President, noting, 'So ngayon po, ang dalawa pong gabinete ay nag-i-enjoy pa rin po sila ng pagtitiwala ng Pangulo (At present, both Cabinet secretaries continue to enjoy the trust of the President).'

Frasco has faced online criticism over perceived self-promotion and questions regarding tourism campaign priorities. Meanwhile, Herbosa has been scrutinized on social media in connection with broader public concerns on the health system.
