According to Philippines News Agency, during a dinner reception hosted by the LT Group, Inc. (LTG) in New York, Marcos addressed the business community in the United States, highlighting the Philippines' skilled, adaptable, and English-speaking workforce. He emphasized the country's demographic advantage, noting it has one of the youngest and fastest-growing populations in Asia.
Marcos reiterated his administration's dedication to enhancing the investment climate, pointing to ongoing infrastructure development as a key factor. He assured potential investors that the Philippines is genuinely open for business, emphasizing this commitment as a hallmark of his administration.
The President expressed his anticipation for new investments across various sectors, including electronics, aerospace components, medical device manufacturing, food processing, and high-value manufacturing. He emphasized the government's focus on establishing the Philippines as a reliable node in global supply chains and developing industrial zones and manufacturing corridors.
Marcos invited investors to explore opportunities in financial services, highlighting the significant portion of the population that remains underserved by traditional banking systems. He pointed to the expanding fintech sector and the growth of digital payments, microfinance, and insurance products as areas ripe for innovation and investment.
He noted that Philippine capital markets are maturing, and the government is working to position the Philippines not only as a market but also as a financial center. Efforts are underway to expand the country's digital economy by engaging with leading hyperscalers, data center operators, and technology companies to integrate the Philippines into the infrastructure of the future.
