Philippines Showcases Products at 2025 Jiefangbei International Consumption Festival in China

Yuzhong: The Philippines recently showcased the excellence and flavor of Filipino products at the opening of the 2025 Jiefangbei International Consumption Festival, one of the most prestigious gatherings of global brands in Yuzhong District, Chongqing Municipality, southwest China.

According to Philippines News Agency, through a colorful and inviting booth, the Philippine Consulate General in Chongqing displayed the creativity of Filipinos by showcasing products from Oishi, a unique brand close to the hearts of Filipinos that are also popular in Chinese homes; Bebebalm, a skin care brand; and Queens Honey-dipped Banana Chips, a product of OneAsia Trader.

Bebebalm won the Gold Award at the 2024 China-Association of Southeast Asian Nations Expo. The participation aims to further introduce Filipino products to Chinese consumers and strengthen people-to-people exchanges, in conjunction with this year's celebration of the 50th anniversary of the formal establishment of diplomatic relations between the Philippines and China.

Under the theme 'Global Style, Fashion Trends,' the Jiefangbei International Consumption Festival brought together more than 100 global brands, 10 consulates of various countries, and major commercial partners. Featuring fashion shows, product launches, exhibitions, and various shopping promotions, it will run for two months.

Among the highlights of the festival's opening is the Harper's Bazaar International Golden Street Show, which featured prominent brands such as Pronovias and Vera Wang Bride. At the same time, new collections from Chinese brands such as II Encore, Li-Ning, Bosideng, and Danish perfume brand Skandinavisk were also launched.

Yuzhong district serves as 'Chongqing's window to the world' and is home to 15 consulates of various countries, more than 1,000 foreign companies, and is visited by an estimated 90 million tourists annually. Since its inception in 2020, the Jiefangbei International Consumption Festival has grown rapidly as a major platform for trade, culture, and international exchange.

This year, the presence of the Philippines further solidified Chongqing's recognition as the center of consumption and international living in southwest China.
