QC Bettor Bags P19-M Lotto 6/42 Jackpot

Quezon city: A bettor from Metro Manila is set for a prosperous New Year after winning the PHP19 million jackpot in Tuesday night's Lotto 6/42 draw.

According to Philippines News Agency, the Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO) announced on Wednesday that the winner, hailing from Barangay Unang Sigaw, Balintawak, Quezon City, successfully guessed the winning combination of 06-32-29-24-37-04. The fortunate individual now has one year to claim the PHP19,004,723.60 prize at the PCSO main office located in Mandaluyong City.

Under the provisions of the Tax Reform for Acceleration and Inclusion law, lotto winnings exceeding PHP10,000 are subject to a 20-percent tax. In addition to the jackpot winner, 19 other bettors received PHP24,000 each for correctly guessing five out of the six winning digits. Furthermore, 955 bettors won PHP800 each for four correct digits, while 17,674 others will receive PHP20 each for three correct digits.

The 6/42 Lotto is regularly drawn every Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday. PCSO General Manager Melquiades Robles has urged the public to continue supporting the agency's gaming products. The revenues generated are crucial for funding health initiatives, medical services, and other national charities.

Through its mandatory contributions, the PCSO not only provides medical assistance to those in need but also allocates funds to various government institutions, ensuring a wider impact on public welfare.
