Iloilo city: The Social Security System (SSS) formally opened its Iloilo-Mandurriao branch on the second floor of Festive Walk Mall Annex Building here on Monday, providing convenience and easy access for its transacting members. The inauguration event was attended by SSS president and chief executive officer Jonathan Gary Jimenez; Executive Vice President Voltaire Agas; Senior Vice President, Visayas Operations Group, Alberto Montalbo; and Vice President, Visayas West 2 Division, Angelo Blancaver.
According to Philippines News Agency, SSS Regional Communications Officer Amiel Genova stated that the transition from their previous Molo branch to the new site occurred as early as September last year, although the formal inauguration took place more recently. Genova highlighted the branch's increased convenience due to its larger space and accessibility, noting the availability of public transport at the ground level. Additionally, he mentioned the presence of other agencies within the same mall, offering clients the option to shop post-transaction.
The Iloilo-Mandurriao branch serves 10 municipalities in the first and second districts of Iloilo province, as well as three districts of Iloilo City. As of November 2025, the branch covers 96,945 members and 3,828 active employers. It provides services including receipt of member data changes, requests for simple corrections, and receipt of complex benefit applications. The branch also features a corporate lane for employer registration and employer data change requests, along with an electronic center for SSS online transactions.
Genova noted that the branch can accommodate up to 800 members on a regular day. Besides the Mandurriao branch, SSS has offices offering online assistance, handling simple queries, and making corrections in Passi City, Robinsons Place Jaro and Ledesma, Jordan, Guimaras, and GT Mall Molo. For more complex transactions, such as benefits applications or other inquiries requiring a dedicated counter, members can visit either the City Mall Pavia branch or the Mandurriao branch.
