Sultan kudarat: Sultan Kudarat Governor Datu Pax Ali Mangudadatu has revived the Provincial Price Stabilization Council (PPSC) to help protect consumers from unscrupulous traders amid rising petroleum prices caused by the Middle East crisis. On Tuesday, Mangudadatu signed Executive Order 112, reactivating the PSPC 'as a proactive measure to address the rising concerns over increasing prices of fuel and basic commodities.'

According to Philippines News Agency, this initiative aims to ensure that the prices of basic commodities, especially petroleum products, comply with government-set pricing to maintain a stable supply of essential goods in the province. The council also seeks to prevent the hoarding of oil products and goods, price manipulation, and other unscrupulous practices by some traders.

Mangudadatu chairs the PPSC, with the vice governor serving as vice chair. The council comprises the provincial administrator, provincial agriculturist, provincial budget officer, and economic development, investment, and promotion officer. Additionally, it includes the Provincial Council's committee chairpersons on energy, agriculture, trade and industry, public works, as well as the province's one city and 11 town mayors.

Furthermore, the council includes the chair of the Sultan Kudarat Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the provincial chair of the transport group, the police provincial director, the head of the Army Mechanized Brigade, the Department of Trade and Industry provincial officer, and the National Food Authority provincial director.
