Pangasinan: A total of 106 families, or 298 individuals, in Pangasinan have preemptively evacuated as of Monday 2 p.m. due to flooding, the Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (PDRRMO) bared.

According to Philippines News Agency, the evacuees are from Bani, Mangatarem, Malasiqui, and Dagupan City, while a preemptive evacuation is ongoing in Calasiao town as of posting. The number is in addition to the 29 families, or 85 individuals, staying inside evacuation centers in Calasiao, Lingayen, and Sta. Barbara towns, and Dagupan City, and 18 families, or 56 individuals, staying outside evacuation centers or with relatives or friends after evacuating from their homes in Aguilar, Lingayen, and Calasiao towns.

Pia Flores, emergency head of the Pangasinan PDRRMO, reported that 83 villages experienced flooding, with 29 of these villages reporting receding floodwater levels. The river systems are under close monitoring as the Marusay River in Calasiao has reached its spilling level, the Sinocalan River in Sta. Barbara is above critical level, the Bued (Cayanga) River in San Fabian is at critical level, and the Camiling River is nearing critical level, potentially affecting several barangays of Mangatarem town.

Meanwhile, one house was extremely damaged in Balungao, while nine others were partially damaged in Sison, Calasiao, and Bautista towns. The partial cost of damage to agriculture is estimated at PHP15 million; infrastructure at PHP175 million; livestock at PHP173,000; and fishery at PHP923,000. Flores stated that these reported costs are being validated.

The provincial government and local government units are providing food packs and other necessities to the affected residents.
